Wellness Support
VetPets is different because it combines wellness activities with dog training and emotional support. My favorite part about VetPets is the small Wellness groups.

No Veteran has ever committed suicide with a dog. Zero! And that's why I will support this program. They walk the walk.
After I had my stroke, I felt alone. I felt isolated. VetPets Services taught me that I am not alone and that I belong to a caring family of support.
VetPets of SWPA has been a wonderful experience for so many. I have seen it change and save lives. I believe it is the bond that develops in our small teams that sets us apart. I have seen veterans that were on a 2-4 year waiting list for a service dog come to learn that they really just needed a well-trained ESA and a nonjudgmental environment to regain a sense of purpose, pride, and comradery.
I’ve always had a soft spot and immense gratitude for our military men and women. That combined with my love of dogs, led me to becoming a volunteer and now a board member here at VetPets. I’ve seen first hand the positive impact we’ve had on our community. And I look forward to seeing many more dogs and vets live healthy lives together!
VetPets not only raises money for a great cause but they provide a nonjudgmental environment. We do more than just train, we recover.
Vet Pets of SWPA has changed my life forever and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I never thought I could have this strong of a bond with my dog. I don’t know what I’d do without him! He has and always will be my best friend when I feel like I have nobody. I am forever grateful for this organization.
VetPets has forever changed our family. We received a 13 week old puppy that we had to learn to take care of and train. This was so helpful because we got to bond with Nessy as she grew and we trained with her. What we didn't realize was how much we were growing at the same time. Meeting new people that have quickly become family to us.
As a wife of a veteran and mom to a service dog I sometimes feel like I am on the outside looking in. I don't always understand what is going on in the group of people I am around. However, now as a board member I get to be included in some of the decisions and feel like I am really part of the group and I can help where it is most needed.
